Job description

The Role

As Stores Administrator and Logistics Operative, you will be required to work in the hardware stores and hazardous materials stores to control incoming and outgoing materials to production areas and the receipt and despatch of materials.

You will need good computer and administrations skills in order to keep accurate records of all material movements and produce reports as required. You must also hold a full UK driving licence as there will be an occasional requirement to deliver or collect goods from anywhere in the UK.

There is a physical, hands on element to the role too, requiring the handling and movement of materials and the use of a Fork Lift truck.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the computer based and manual records of all hazardous material movements are maintained and as per company processes and legislative requirements.
  • Scheduled hazardous material inspections with computer-based reports generated.
  • Undertake regular stocktakes, update data and systems to ensure accurate stock management is maintained. Preparation of KPI reports.
  • Management of inventory, to maintain required stock levels and Stock Turns and ensure correct storage, security and segregation.
  • The kitting of works orders including electronic stores requisitions, and raising the necessary paperwork to ensure stock data accuracy and MRP2 System compliance.
  • Take responsibility for Health and Safety for safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Undertake Goods Inwards receipt inspection to ensure goods are genuine, documentation is correct and items are complying with the requirements of the order and import/export legislation.
  • Collaborate with procurement and production areas to ensure logistics management is maintained.
  • Organise transport requests.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Fork Lift truck experience beneficial.
  • Experience of warehouse management in a controlled stores environment advantageous.
  • Computer literate, good administration skills.
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • Work as part of a team or using own initiative.
