Job description

This is an opportunity to join an established, global manufacturing business within their Operations function, managing a team of Supply Chain Professionals to achieve set business goals and further improve the effective and efficient delivery of Supply Chain objectives.

You will report to the Operations Supply Chain Manager and also work alongside the Global Supply Chain Manager to support the global sales inventory and operations process (SIOP) and implement the resulting production strategy.

Relationship management and strong planning skills are fundamental to the role as is the ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and customers worldwide, embrace cross-functionality and complexity of company structures and use this knowledge within the planning process.

You must be an expert at building collaborative relationships internally and externally to ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role can be very process driven and requires technological ability; you should be comfortable implementing new technology and be alert to trends and next generation technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe and organized working environment.
  • Lead your team by motivating them into realising the daily activities.
  • Realise (department) goals and KPI's.
  • Manage timely flow of material, inventory, and secure customer service levels.
  • Continuously keep the entire supply chain informed about upcoming production plans: suppliers, own production, customers, ensuring internal and external stakeholder communication continuously flows.
  • Active participation in the SIOP process.
  • Continuous improvement of the department and follow-up on improvement plans.
  • Signal development opportunities and tackle these adequately.
  • Provide input on strategic plans regarding the supply chain.
  • Deliver recurring and ad hoc reports.
  • Maintain contact with stakeholders within the organization, such as Marketing, Purchasing, Sales, Planning, and Production.


Requirements:

  • At least 5/6 years of relevant working experience.
  • Familiar with WMS and ERP systems and a strong affinity with IT.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Expertise on operational management, planning and logistics.
  • A decisive, stress resilient, and pragmatic attitude.
  • (BTEC HNC/HND or equivalent) Educated to degree level in fields such as logistics, operations management or business administration.
  • International travel may be required

Competitive salary based on experience + benefits.

Based in Malvern, Worcestershire.

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours.
