The day-to-day role will involve you working alongside a team of technical authors in creating English language documentation and organise the delivery of documents in German, Japanese, French and other languages. Tools utilised include MadCap Flare, MadCap Analyser, Adobe RoboHelp, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
The company is subsidiary of a larger parent organisation and this small hub is now being seen as the future of the company so a huge amount of investment is going in now so that they are well ahead of in their market and remain dominant.
They have some great ideas of how to innovate, they have the ideas but they now need a strong team to help they make them a reality.
The right candidate
You've got some knowledge of automotive engineering, or a degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline. You're a good writer, can understand and communicate complex information in written form, and know your way around Microsoft Word.
In addition, you'll be self-motivated, able to work with within a structured development process, and someone who asks questions and solves problems. You'll be naturally curious and unafraid of asking questions, open to new technologies and approaches, and can do what it takes to see tasks through to completion.
As an integral part of the product development team, you'll be working with a geographically diverse team of product owners, developers and testers to analyse, plan and write first class end-user documentation.
You'll be responsible for the entire documentation set for one or more products, including help, release notes, installation manuals and knowledge bulletins.
