Job description

The Role

Training Advisor.

The Training Advisor will support Line Managers with the identification of training needs and implementation of training plans to achieve compliance in line with regulatory requirements, reduction of skills gaps for business needs and enable individual development to support career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Competency Management System - work with relevant teams to ensure competency management is implemented and embedded into the business, aligned with other HR and L&D processes.
  • Work with Line Managers to align Skills Matrices with CMS System.
  • Support Operation Teams, define and implement individual training plans in line with CMS and Pay Skills Structure and set KPI's.
  • Monitor/report (KPI measure) progress against training plans for each area.
  • Transfer all operation skills matrices onto the portal and ensure they are aligned with CMS system.
  • Support Line Managers with identification of training needs and development of action plans in relation to business needs and individual career aspirations.
  • Make recommendations to Head of HR and Communications as part of the Site Training Action plan, including site wide training initiatives and individual training needs.
  • Work with the HR Team to develop effective induction processes for new starters.
  • In conjunction with the HR Administrator, co-ordinate and organise internal and external training courses, ensuring evaluations of training programmes are completed.
  • Identify quality training partners for external training and qualification delivery.
  • Ensure accurate training records are maintained for auditing purposes.
  • Make recommendations to improve and change L&D / Training processes as required.
  • Work on Apprentice and Graduate schemes.


Requirements

  • CIPD L&D Qualification (ideally L5 but would consider L3).
  • Previous proven experience in a Learning and Development role, with the emphasis on supporting and coaching managers in identifying training needs and implementing training plans.
  • Experience in Manufacturing environment.
