Warehouse Manager
If you are you highly organised, proactive, and hands-on, our client is looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead their warehouse operations. Ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and smooth flow of stock from supplier to customer, you will head up a small team and thrive on working in a fast- paced environment.
Some key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Keeping stock levels on target with regular checks, investigations into discrepancies, and full stocktakes.
- Managing purchase orders, forecast stock needs, and ensuring timely, accurate orders while maximising supplier price breaks.
- Optimising stock placement and warehouse space
- Building strong relationships with suppliers, handling queries, negotiating best pricing, and managing discrepancies effectively.
- Overseeing international shipments, tracking stock in transit, and resolving any import/export issues.
- Ensuring all incoming stock meets quality standards and is correctly allocated.
- Maintaining a safe, hazard-free workspace and ensuring all lifting equipment is properly maintained.
- Working closely with sales, production, and other teams to prioritise orders and communicate stock availability.
- Managing, training, and developing warehouse and dispatch staff, handling recruitment, holidays, and day-to-day team needs.
- Being the go-to person for packaging requirements, pricing, and cost-saving initiatives.
Skills and Experience required:
- Proven warehouse management experience
- Strong stock control, procurement, and supplier management skills
- Confident leading a team and managing cross-department collaboration
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Confident at using an ERP system
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent customer facing and relationship building skills
Based in Leominster, our client is offering a competitive salary of c£35k
Hours of work Mon - Thurs 8.30 - 5.30pm and 5pm finish on a Friday
