Warehouse Operative (Temp to Perm)

Location: Stourbridge
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join a long-established and highly respected electrical manufacturing and distribution business based in the Stourbridge area. This is a temp to perm opportunity offering long-term stability, excellent working hours and genuine career progression within a supportive and close-knit team environment.

The Role

Working within a busy warehouse and logistics team, the successful candidate will support all areas of warehouse operations including goods inward, picking, packing, dispatch and stock organisation. The role will also involve supporting packaging requirements and assisting with specialist product builds and assembly projects.

This is a varied, hands-on position suited to someone reliable, proactive and keen to learn within a technical warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Goods inward processing and stock checking
  • Picking, packing and dispatch of electrical products and equipment
  • Accurate labelling and packaging of high-value products
  • Supporting warehouse organisation and stock placement
  • Assisting with specialist packaging and bespoke product builds
  • Supporting assembly and development of UK assembled product lines
  • Maintaining warehouse accuracy and high operational standards
  • Working closely with internal sales, technical and purchasing teams
  • Supporting continuous improvement across warehouse processes

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Physically capable of occasional lifting up to 20kg
  • Comfortable using stairs regularly within a mezzanine warehouse environment
  • Basic IT confidence and willingness to learn systems such as SAP, Word and Excel
  • Forklift licence beneficial but not essential as training can be provided
  • Electrical or technical product knowledge advantageous but not essential
