Kidderminster is a town in Worcestershire, England, 17 miles south-west of Birmingham and 15 miles north of Worcester. The town is home of football team 'Kidderminster Harriers', the birth place of Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and is twinned with Husum, Germany.
The modern carpet industry was founded in the area and the carpet industry became extremely important to the local economy. The local newspaper is still named The Shuttle after those used on the carpet looms.
The railway station offers direct links to Birmingham, Worcester and London. A second station, the preserved Heritage Railway line, Severn Valley Railway offers trains running to Bridgnorth.
