Financial Controller
Location: Hartlebury, Worcestershire (with limited hybrid working available)
Type: Full-Time, Permanent or Contract to Perm if preferred

Hewett Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading manufacturer in the search for an experienced and strategic Financial Controller.

As Financial Controller, you'll be at the heart of the Group's finance operations leading a skilled team, driving financial accuracy and supporting strategic decision making across the Group. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you'll oversee core finance functions including reporting, forecasting, compliance, and stakeholder management.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to deliver real value in a dynamic, multi-site organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, overseeing all aspects of the ledger and accounting function

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (weekly flash, monthly management accounts, year-end)

  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process across the group

  • Monitor and report cash flow, capex and working capital movements

  • Partner with operations and commercial teams to deliver insightful analysis on product, customer and departmental profitability

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems (NetSuite)

  • Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure compliance with ISO and statutory regulations

  • Champion finance business partnering across all major sites

What we're looking for:

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial leadership role ideally within the Manufacturing sector

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and cash management

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset

  • Proven ability to develop finance teams and business partner across functions

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite) and Microsoft Office
