Maintenance Electrician



Monday to Friday - Days

My client is a well-established manufacturer of heavy machinery parts and components and they are seeking a new Maintenance Electrician to join their existing team. As a Maintenance Electrician, your focus will be to complete facilities maintenance tasks, fault find, assist with installation projects, service, and repair a wide range of production machinery.

This role could be well suited to an experienced Maintenance Engineer, or equally to a qualified Electrician, interested in moving their career on in this direction.

Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities;

  • Fault find and service electrical-based machinery
  • Ensure that all PPM schedules are maintained
  • Assist with machinery installation projects
  • Repair a wide range of production machinery including automated and CNC machines
  • PLC Fault Finding and Programming
  • Carry out facilities maintenance tasks throughout the site
  • Successfully undertake any training that may be required as the result from changes in the requirements of the Regulations.

Maintenance Electrician Requirements;

  • 18th Edition Electrical Qualification is essential
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • PLC programming experience would be beneficial, but not essential as training would be provided.
  • Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be flexible to commit to over-time should urgent maintenance be required (over-time is paid at 1.3 times hourly rate)
  • A practical, hands-on individual who enjoys problem-solving.
  • Strong team player with solid communication skills.

Hours of work for this Maintenance Electrician position are 8am-4pm Mon-Fri. The salary is £33,500 based on experience.

Based in Worcester this Maintenance Electrician role is commutable from: Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Kidderminster, Stourport, Bewdley, Malvern, Ledbury, Evesham, Pershore, Hereford, Cheltenham and Gloucester.
