Project Accountant- Revenue Recognition
6 month FTC
Hybrid/ remote working available
The primary goal of this position is to assist the Finance Department in implementing new revenue recognition standards and transitioning from manual to automated processes. The person in this role will manage reporting, ensure compliance with updated revenue procedures and streamline related financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Reporting and Issue Identification: Running daily reports in SAP and Salesforce and identifying discrepancies in order updates.
Error Log Maintenance: Keeping track of errors related to revenue postings and summarizing these for senior management.
Collaboration: Following up with the relevant teams to ensure missing data is rectified in a timely manner.
Accounting Entries: Creating accounting entries for approval as needed.
Process Improvements: Leading efforts to automate and streamline the revenue recognition process.
Audit Support: Providing necessary assistance for both internal and external audits.
Ad hoc Tasks: Handling additional duties as they arise.
Skills and Qualifications:
Qualifications: Part-qualified or newly qualified CIMA or equivalent.
Experience and Skills:
Solid accounts experience and excellent numeracy skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy and process driven.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Expertise in Excel (H, X and V Lookup esssential) and integrated business systems (SAP experience is advantageous).
Problem-solving abilities.
Language skills are beneficial but not essential.
This role involves a mix of technical financial tasks (revenue recognition, reporting, auditing) along with some process improvement and team collaboration. It requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable working with finance teams globally.
