Job description
Job Title: Clerk of Works
Location: Worcester (commutable distance required)
Salary: £30,000 + Company Car / Allowance + Benefits
A leading UK provider of automatic fire suppression systems is looking to appoint a Clerk of Works to support quality and compliance across multiple construction projects.
This role will involve regular site inspections, auditing project standards, and ensuring all work meets required specifications and safety regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with project and construction teams to maintain high standards across installations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site inspections across construction and project sites.
Carry out internal project audits and identify non-compliance issues.
Ensure work meets required quality standards and project specifications.
Maintain detailed inspection records including reports and photographs.
Monitor material usage and measurements against approved plans.
Report findings to Project/Construction Managers.
Mark up drawings to reflect site changes.
Monitor site health & safety and report issues where necessary.
Assist with staff training where required.
Requirements
Experience inspecting or supervising construction/engineering works.
NVQ Level 3/4 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Building Services, Fire Protection or relevant trade background.
Valid CSCS White/Black Card or working towards one.
Knowledge of QA processes, inspections and defect management.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Full UK driving licence.
