Designer

The Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Designer to join a leader in British design; one of the UK's fastest growing suppliers within their sector, boasting a portfolio of luxury British designer brands.

Requiring an exceptional talent to join their dynamic Product Team, you will thrive in a busy and fast-moving creative environment and will be responsible for designing and conceptualising product for house brands and luxury licensed brands.

Due to the increasing industry focus on fashion-led design, a knowledge and understanding of luxury brands and quality with the ability to connect with people and inspire is required. Exceptional design and innovation is the key to success and the prime differentiator.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop market leading concepts in line with business and market requirements.
• Develop the visual brand identity ensuring this is central and consistent in all creative projects.
• Drive innovative design across all dimensions of the business.
• Create concepts and high-level designs and effectively express your ideas to senior management.
• Research trends, competitors and market best sellers.
• Maintain a project critical path schedule to track and report all relevant projects, ensuring that the design is both on time and on budget.
• Work closely with brand managers to range product.
• React to sales information and design commercially relevant product.
• Work with licensed brands, adhering to strict design guidelines and approval procedures.
• Liaise with suppliers, primarily in the Far East via email.
• Identify and interpret trends to create product suitable for the market.
• Develop cases and POS material.
• Attend major exhibitions and conferences on behalf of the company.

Requirements

• Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
• Able to produce high quality hand drawings, CAD's and accurate spec's within tight deadlines and present them formally and informally.
• The ability to think beyond what exists today by pushing the boundaries.
• An eye for exceptional design with a knowledge and understanding of luxury brands and quality.
• 5 years' minimum experience within a design role.
• Able to be highly conceptual while still being able to stick to demanding briefs.
• The ability to work well and efficiently under pressure.
• Flexibility to travel abroad when required.
• Analytical skills.
• Competent user of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to prioritise time between multiple projects.

£30,000 - £40,000 basic annual salary.

Based in Bromsgrove.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
