Production Supervisor
If you are you an experienced leader with a passion for production and team development, this would be a great opportunity for a skilled Production Supervisor to play a pivotal role in driving efficiency and maintaining high-quality standards.
Role Summary:
- Lead and motivate teams to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards and promoting health and safety policies.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement lean techniques to drive operational efficiency.
- Use your skills to coach and mentor teams, ensuring a high level of performance and continuous development.
Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Prioritise workloads based on production schedules, ensuring timely completion of targets and adherence to OTIF (On Time In Full) including coordination with the Hereford site.
- Act as the first point of contact for all daily operational activities, managing day-to-day tasks and resolving any issues.
- Provide daily updates to the Site Manager and colleagues on production output, quality, and health and safety matters
- Maintain the highest quality standards for all products.
- Manage team performance and absence, fostering a motivated and high-performing workforce.
- Provide coaching, training, and development to ensure a multi-skilled team.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company health and safety policies across the department.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the department (5S).
- Ensure timely material issuance to operators, reporting any stock issues to the planning department.
- Lead learning sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Skills / Experience:
- Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor, managing teams in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience with reading and analysing production schedules to effectively prioritise workloads.
- Skilled at monitoring and refining production processes and addressing production issues to minimise downtime.
- Strong experience in managing production deadlines.
- Knowledgeable in health and safety standards (IOSH).
- Experience in conducting regular inspections and audits of production lines.
- Ability to quickly address and resolve quality issues.
- Familiarity with working with a variety of materials.
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to working within an ISO9001 certified facility.
- Confident using ERP/MRP systems
- Lean Manufacturing certification.
- IOSH Working Safely certificate.
Based in Ledbury, our client is offering a salary of up to £40k (depending on experience)
