Worcestershire Based
Hybrid options - 1 to 2 days a week from home

Full Time, 39.25 hours Monday to Friday

Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges while influencing commercial outcomes?
We are recruiting for a global manufacturer of industrial electric motors and drive solutions, seeking a Technical Sales Manager to lead technical excellence across the UK enquiries and applications function.
This is a senior, customer-facing role combining technical expertise, commercial influence and team guidance.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in shaping technical sales strategy and ensuring best-in-class application support across:
- Low and medium voltage electric motors
* Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
* Geared motors and motion drive systems
* Industrial motor control solutions
You will act as the technical authority within the sales process, ensuring accurate specification interpretation, commercially sound proposals and seamless order handover.
This role offers real influence, visibility with senior stakeholders and collaboration with global engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical response quality within the enquiries team
* Analyse complex customer specifications and propose robust technical solutions
* Support commercial offer preparation with strong technical justification
* Deliver technical training internally and to OEM/end-user customers
* Work closely with product management and international manufacturing facilities
* Support strategic customer meetings and high-value project discussions
* Drive continuous improvement in technical processes and compliance standards
Requirements:
- Possess a strong working knowledge of Electric Motors, their application and specification.
- Graduate level in a mechanical/electrical engineering subject and have gained an extensive 5yrs+ professional experience in a similar role.
- Excellent decision making & communication skills both written and verbally.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet KPI targets adopting a positive, calm & level-headed approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good general MS Office knowledge, SAP is a plus.
- Able to provide first class customer service and to lead by example.
