My client is an established company that specialises in producing made-to-measure bespoke products that are used in the manufacturing sector. They are seeking a new Mechanical Design Engineer to join their existing team to create detailed product designs, manage design projects from initial concept to delivery, and to produce all supporting technical documentation.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities;

• Liaise with customers and gather required design specifications
• Identify and provide alternative design solutions
• Create detailed product designs using Solidworks
• Produce all supporting technical documentation
• Review legacy designs and produce improvement solutions
• Provide technical support to clients and the Production Team

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements;

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer position is essential
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, fabrics, and plastics would be advantageous
• Experienced in using Solidworks
• Experienced in managing design projects from initial concept to delivery
• Excellent communication skills are essential
