My client is an established manufacturer of battery charging systems that are used across the UK and Europe. They are seeking a new Product Design Engineer to join their existing team to produce detailed concept designs for new products, manage design projects to delivery, and provide technical support to clients and the manufacturing team.

Product Design Engineer Responsibilities;

• Produce concept designs for new product ranges
• Produce detailed designs for marketing materials and exhibitions
• Create component and assembly instructions for the manufacturing team
• Manage design projects and ensure that project delivery dates are met
• Provide technical support to clients and to colleagues
• Review legacy product designs and identify performance improvement area

Product Design Engineer Requirements;

• Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or product design
• Experienced with 3D CAD modeling and experience using Autodesk Inventor would be advantageous
• Previous experience in a Product Design Engineer position is essential
• Excellent communication skills are essential
• Experience managing design projects from initial concept to delivery
