Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Are you an Infrastructure Engineer well versed in utilising cloud technologies?

Our client are a growing IT Consultancy who operate across the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Work closely with clients to understand their on-premises and cloud infrastructure platform requirements.
• Plan, prepare and implement both hardware and software solutions to meet the customers needs.
• Work with operations to improve ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of application delivery infrastructure to maintain optimal performance and availability.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practices related to application delivery engineering.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant industry experience.
• Either experience designing and implementing or a strong understanding and desire to learn more about:

o Cloud infrastructure such as e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

o On prem virtualisation using VMWare (Hyper-V is a bonus).

o Storage and SAN technologies o Microsoft server operating systems and Active Directory

o Microsoft Entra ID (formerly azure active directory)

o Microsoft exchange and office 365 outlook.

o Linux operating systems would be advantageous.

o Backup and restoration technologies (VEEM preferred)

o Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, and routing protocols.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, VMware, AWS are advantageous.
