Customer Service and Applications Resource Administrator

As a naturally process minded and methodical Administrator who would thrive in an environment that requires logistical coordination and excellent attention to detail. You will have the responsibility of coordinating the schedules and availability of Application Specialist personnel, as well as inventory/consumables, whilst also supporting activities related to presales demonstrations, sample analysis, internal and external training, and laboratory inventory. A blend of many elements and conforming to strict compliance regulations, you will need to be able to respond and r-prioritise as necessary.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Providing support to Customer Services by coordinating the availability of the appropriate applications specialist to provide post sales training
  • Providing support to Sales organisation by coordinating the schedules and the availability of the laboratory, its instrumentation, and Application Specialist personnel for in-house demonstrations/sample-testing
  • Providing support to Marketing and Customer Services by coordinating the availability of the laboratory, its instrumentation, and any Application Specialist personnel requested for internal and external training courses.
  • Arranging new Field and Laboratory based demo stock acquisition
  • Managing the documentation and shipping approach for all external demonstrations
  • Ensuring decontamination certificates are provided with all site returns
  • Maintaining records of all samples received for analysis and subsequent results, reports, methodologies and correspondence within the agreed database and systems
  • Managing the removal of wastes
  • Maintaining and purchasing the required level of consumables (chemicals, laboratory testing tools) for the day-to-day laboratory-based activities.
  • Communicating clearly and accurately with laboratory suppliers and service providers.

Previous experience within in a similar environment is not essential but the ability to work with an analytical approach and excellent attention to detail is key.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous Administration experience within a team environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • An ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience of SAP (advantageous but not essential)
  • A proactive approach
  • A good team player
