Finance Assistant & Administrator (Part-Time) - Worcestershire
Up to £30,000 Pro-Rata | 15-20 Hours per Week | Flexible Hours

Are you a finance professional with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach? Do you thrive in a role where you can make an impact and contribute to the smooth running of a business? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!

We are partnering with an established and well-respected business in Worcestershire who are looking to hire a Finance Assistant & Administrator to join their finance and operations team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for finance and administration to play a key role in supporting a busy office while helping to streamline processes and improve systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Finance Assistant & Administrator, your role will be varied and you'll get involved in all aspects of the financial and administrative side of the business. Here's a quick rundown:

  • Finance Administration:
You'll be responsible for processing purchase invoices, handling expense claims, and managing supplier payments. You'll also assist with weekly cashflow monitoring and bank reconciliations to keep everything running smoothly.

  • Record Keeping:
Keeping records accurate and up-to-date is key. You'll maintain both physical and digital filing systems, ensuring everything is organized and easy to access.

  • Supplier & Office Management:
Liaise with suppliers for office equipment, supplies, and services like couriers and cleaners. Plus, you'll manage office supplies to ensure the team has everything they need to stay productive.

  • General Administration:
From managing phone and email inquiries to assisting with travel, accommodation, and meeting arrangements, you'll be the go-to person for a range of office tasks.

  • Supporting Funding & Audits:
Assist with preparing funding, audit, and grant documentation as needed, and play a key part in the smooth operation of these processes.

  • Continuous Improvement:
You'll also have the chance to suggest improvements to the financial processes, systems, and internal controls to help the business run even more efficiently.

What We're Looking For:

You'll be someone with a strong background in finance and administration. If you have experience with Xero (or a similar accounting software), all the better! But more importantly, we're looking for someone who's a team player, with excellent communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial admin.

  • Strong understanding of financial principles and processes.

  • Proficiency in Xero (or similar software), along with Excel and Google Workspace.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail, especially with data entry.

  • A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • AAT qualification or relevant experience.

  • GCSEs (including Maths and English).

  • Further education in finance or business would be an advantage.

What's on Offer:

  • Part-time hours (15-20 per week), with flexible working hours.

  • Up to £30,000 per year (pro-rata, depending on experience).

  • Additional benefits including extra leave, flexitime and free parking.

  • A friendly and supportive working environment based in Worcestershire.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in both finance and office administration, while working in a role that offers variety and flexibility.
