Forklift Driver

Position Type: Temporary-to-Permanent Role
Location: Leominster, HR6 (Full-time, Factory-based)
Salary: Competitive Salary (Based on Experience)
Hours: 12-hour shifts (4 on, 4 off rotation, alternating between days and nights)
Shift Pattern: 06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00

About the Role - Forklift Driver

As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts, moving stock, unloading deliveries, and supporting production and dispatch. This hands-on role offers full training and opportunities for permanent employment, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities - Forklift Driver

Forklift & Equipment Operation

  • Safely and confidently operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move stock across the site

  • Unload incoming deliveries and manage outgoing despatches, ensuring accuracy and speed

Stock Control & Warehouse Support

  • Ensure the accurate movement of raw materials and finished goods, meeting production and dispatch priorities

  • Maintain accurate stock records and assist with inventory management using scanning systems

Team Collaboration & Task Coordination

  • Work closely with the materials handling team to coordinate activities, share updates, and ensure smooth operations throughout shifts

  • Contribute to team goals by maintaining high hygiene, food safety, and quality standards

Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct daily equipment checks and operate machinery in line with safety training and site procedures

  • Help control vehicle movements across the yard and maintain a safe working environment

Essential Requirements - Forklift Driver

Experience & Skills

  • A valid and up-to-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is essential

  • Basic English and Maths skills to follow procedures and complete documentation accurately

  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a bonus, but not essential

  • Experience operating articulated trucks, PPT stacker trucks, or Reach trucks is helpful but not required (training will be provided)
