My client is a specialist engineering company that produces a wide range of electronic devices that are used globally. As a FPGA Engineer, your focus will be to design, develop and test bespoke FPGAs for a wide array of industries.

FPGA Engineer Responsibilities;

• Design and develop a range of FPGAs
• Integration and test digital equipment
• Build scripting to support continuous integration
• Produce HDL code for VITA-49 or similar network protocols
• Design & development of test benches to prove VHDL code
• Integration of firmware into application design
• Provide technical support to clients and the wider engineering team

FPGA Engineer Requirements;

• Previous experience in a FPGA role is essential
• Experience using FPGA synthesis tools such as Synplify, Vivado, Quartus or Mentor
• Must have industry experience of RFSOC/MPSOC
• Experience of FPGA implementation of communications stacks including TCP/IP
• Extensive experience of writing FPGA test benches
• Linux system configuration
• FPGA code design, synthesis, implementation and test
• Experience of DSP Algorithms
• Experience in C/C++/Rust would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills are a must
• Team Player
• Must have a keen interest in new technologies
