HR Officer

This innovative, forward thinking specialist engineering company is looking for an HR Officer to join the incredibly 'hands on' and proactive HR team and play a key supportive role. Reporting directly into the HR Manager and working alongside an additional HR Officer, you will be experienced and confident in employee relations and be actively involved with specific HR projects.

This is an organisation that is expanding and requires a naturally proactive and forward thinking individual.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Providing a full HR support service for approximately 150 employees across all sites (including internationally)
  • Supporting the management team on the first level disciplinary and grievance issues including all administrative support on processes and procedures
  • Administering employee reward schemes
  • Looking after new starter onboarding and assisting with the induction process
  • Maintaining and updating the HR information and Payroll System maintaining personnel files
  • Preparing various HR letters for changes to employee terms and conditions
  • Recording and monitoring employee absences
  • Producing reports and statistics for the HR Manager
  • Leading on allocated recruitment campaigns
  • Working with the Talent Acquisition Officer
  • Assisting with monthly payroll processes and integration and liaising with the external paryroll provider

Skills and experience required for the HR Officer role:

  • Previous experience within an HR generalist role (engineering environment highly desirable)
  • CIPD level 3 qualification
  • Strong employee relations experience
  • Up to date employment law knowledge
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised and used to following procedures
  • Outstanding Microsoft Office skills with an ability to produce and analyse reports
  • Experience in administering payroll
  • An excellent team player
