Materials Planner

Ross on Wye (with overseas travel for initial training)

Salary - £TBA

Are you a Materials Planner who thrives on a challenge and is excited about playing a key role in supporting the introduction of a new SAP system? This would be a fantastic opportunity to join a global leader in polymer-based innovations across construction, automotive and industry and this role will be placed within their Windows division

You will be naturally driven and instrumental in ensuring supply capability and helping to achieve full potential in production and strategy targets.

SAP experience/knowledge/implementation is essential in order to support the Supply Chain Manager with its introduction

Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Supporting finished goods planning for in-house production and purchased merchandise.
  • Managing demand determination, order triggering, goods receipt, and inventory monitoring.
  • Handling invoice management for purchased items and managing delivery dates.
  • Troubleshooting delivery problems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Creating reports for active customer communication.
  • Participating in the technical, conceptual, and operational control of the scheduling process.
  • Involvement in the implementation of target processes and optimizing existing logistics and disposition processes.
  • Defining minimum stock quantities in coordination with internal colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with SAP implementation or the APO module (essential).
  • Familiarity with SAP language, system architecture, and data flows.
  • Exposure to change management and AS-IS: TO-BE Modelling for gap analysis.
  • Experience in data sheet/data management.
  • Experience in a similar industry, preferably construction, process industry, or FMCG.
  • Willingness and ability to travel abroad for training.
