Credit Controller

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week (flexible working pattern)

Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a part-time opportunity with flexibility and the chance to make a real impact?

We are recruiting for a well-established business based in Hartlebury, who are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Credit Controller to join their finance team. You'll play a key role in managing and reducing outstanding debt while building positive relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Key Responsibilities of a Credit Controller include:

  • Proactive chasing of overdue invoices via phone, email, and written communication

  • Accurate input and allocation of incoming payments on the ledger

  • Reconciliation of debtor and adhoc accounts

  • Liaison with internal departments to investigate and resolve payment queries

  • Maintain and update customer data to ensure accuracy

  • Attend and contribute to internal and customer debt review meetings

  • Provide support with audits and documentation

  • General administrative support as required

Skills and experience include:

  • Previous experience in credit control or a finance administration role

  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines

  • Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data sorting)

  • Experience using finance or ERP systems

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Organised and methodical in managing records and electronic filing
