My client are an established manufacturer of electrical products and control systems that are used across the UK and Europe. They are seeking a Product Design Engineer to join their existing team to create new product designs, produce design solutions and liaise with clients.

Product Design Engineer Responsibilities;

• Create and develop new product designs
• Liaise with clients to gather design specifications
• Managing own design projects and ensure that deadlines are met
• Produce all supporting technical documentation
• Provide technical support to clients and the wider engineering team

Product Design Engineer Requirements;

• Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or product design
• Must have previous design engineering experience
• Knowledge of CAD, creating 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings
• Knowledge of plastic mouldings, aluminium castings and metal fabrication would be advantageous
• Must be a team player
• Excellent communication skills are essential
