Production Engineer - Paint
Location: Malvern, Worcestershire
Hours: Full-time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
The Company
Our client is a well-established manufacturer based in Worcestershire, known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and precision. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Production Engineer - Paint to join their busy production team.
The Role
This is a hands-on role within the paint facility, responsible for preparing, finishing, and inspecting components to ensure they meet exacting quality standards. Working as part of a close-knit production team, you'll support day-to-day paint operations, maintain equipment, and contribute to ongoing improvements in process efficiency and finish quality.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and finish components to a high standard, including surface preparation and priming
Mix and apply paints or coatings to achieve consistent finishes
Inspect work for quality, identifying and correcting defects where necessary
Maintain paint equipment and ensure it remains in safe working order
Follow all health and safety procedures, including PPE use and safe handling of materials
Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure production targets are met
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the paint process
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
Previous experience in a paint, coatings, or surface finishing role within a production environment
Ability to work accurately and maintain high standards of quality
Knowledge of surface preparation, mixing, and application techniques
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safe working practices
Desirable:
Relevant training or qualifications in paint or coating technologies
Experience using paint spraying or finishing equipment
Understanding of quality assurance and inspection processes
