Production Operative

Position Type: Temporary-to-Permanent Role
Location: Leominster, HR6 (Full-time, Factory-based)
Salary: £28,024.74 per annum (rising to £28,667.88 after successful probation)
Hours: 12-hour shifts (4 on, 4 off rotation, alternating between days and nights)
Shift Pattern: 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am

About the Role - Production Operative

As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating complex machinery, performing quality checks, and ensuring efficient production within a fast-paced snack manufacturing environment, with full training provided to help you succeed in a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities - Production Operative

Machine Operation & Production Support

Operate frying or packing machinery to ensure high-quality snack production
Monitor production systems, report issues, and minimise downtime
Complete daily routines and quality checks to maintain high production standards

Health & Safety Compliance

Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Ensure all food safety standards are maintained throughout production

Team Collaboration & Problem Solving

Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals
Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues as they arise

Essential Requirements - Production Operative

Experience & Skills

Previous experience in manufacturing or the food industry is desirable
A good level of literacy and numeracy skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures
