Job description
Senior HR Advisor
Working as part of the HR department within a local prestigious Worcestershire 'family' of schools, the successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to support and deputise for the HR and Manager as well as being instrumental in leading initiatives and process improvement work. Based at the main school in Worcester, travel will be required to the other schools in order to support HR across the business.
Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Supporting with first line advise in relation to all grievance disciplinary and capability issues
Supporting Managers to ensure an effective, accurate and professional process is followed
Embedding equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout all processes
Supporting managers to ensure the appraisal process is adhered to and providing guidance and training as needed
Planning and conducting consultations with staff to update and change terms and conditions of employment to meet the needs of the business
Taking an active interest in staff wellbeing
Pre-empting recruitment needs and advertising vacant positions
Supporting recruiting managers and assisting with interviews
Remaining up to date with changing employment legislation
Supporting and advising on absence management

Skills and experience required:
At least 5 years' experience working within HR
A minimum of Level 5 CIPD or equivalent
Confident in using HR systems and databases
Excellent IT, administration and organisational skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent team player
Own car - essential
