Technical Engineer

My client, a sporting club in Worcester, are looking to recruit a full time Technical Engineer. They are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and organised individual who is comfortable interacting with all members of staff to ensure high levels of service and to take responsibility for the day to day running of all technology services at the stadium.

As a successful Technical Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Making and maintaining good communications between the club and existing technology contractors.
• Be the main contact for all IT issues for staff and hospitality guests.
• Responsible for all connectivity, Wi-Fi, PA systems, scoreboards, internal televisions, pitch-cam, live streaming hardware, advertising screens, PAT testing and new technology as it comes on board.
• Ensure that all systems are working on match days and event days.
• Assist and train others on systems and features, including hardware and software programs.
• Contribute to the overall strategy of improving technology services at the stadium. The main contact for purchasing new hardware and gain cost effective quotes when needed.

As a successful Technical Engineer you will have:

• HNC/HND/BSc relevant qualification is desirable
• Experience of working in a similar role including IT support, AV audio visual or live event technician
• Compliance - knowledge of procedures relating to data protection and experience of working in a health and safety environment
• Experience delivering a high quality of work to time deadlines
• Team work - good team player, flexible, reliable and willing to help others
• Superb organisational skills and a strong attention to detail
• Experience of implementing new systems/projects, utilising a recognised project methodology

This Technical Engineer role is paying a salary dependant on experience of between £28,000 - £30,000 and have a great benefits package.

The role is based in Worcester and is commutable from Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Cheltenham, Worcester, Solihull, Redditch and surrounding.
