Join our Christmas Foodbank Collection

Hewett Recruitment host our annual Christmas Foodbank Collection for local 'The Trussel Trust' services.

During the Christmas period, Hewett Recruitment hold an annual appeal for food donations to give to local Worcestershire foodbanks, helping support those in need. Each year we aim to collect more donations than ever before, making a true difference to people’s lives this Christmas.

One in five of the UK population live below the poverty line, and the demand for the Foodbanks' services across Worcestershire are on the rise. Kidderminster Foodbankreported supporting 3,200 people during 2012, the year they opened, compared to 4,420 people last year. This means that Kidderminster Foodbank alone provided three-day emergency food supplies to 4,420 people in crisis last year, while Worcester Foodbank reports providing 125,600 meals to 10,053 people. Even more shockingly, one in three of those fed by Worcester Foodbank's emergency supplies are children.

Foodbanks rely on your support and generosity, as over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks inThe Trussell Trustnetwork is donated by the public. Donations are absolutely vital to their ability to give everyone the necessary balanced and nutritious supply of food. Without your goodwill, our local foodbanks would struggle to operate and support the local people and families in need.
