Your primary responsibilities in this 3rd Line Support Specialist opportunity will consist of the following:
*Assist in the development and mentoring of more junior members of staff.
*Provide an interface between the service desk and service providers supplying diagnostic information.
*Sustain the IT knowledgebase, through accurate documentation of systems and related business procedures
*Resolve requests, incidents, problems and major incidents assigned to your team within service level agreements whilst working with the Technical Services Manager, to plan, schedule and monitor work activities of the team in order to meet business needs.
*Propose, discuss and evaluate potential solutions with the technical services manager and implement agreed modifications or workarounds as directed.
*Perform on-site hardware and software root cause fixes and where necessary work rounds across multiple sites. You will work towards service improvements.
*Provide support outside of normal working hours either as part of a rota or on an ad hoc basis to meet business requirements.
To be successful in this 3rd Line Specialist opportunity you need the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*Previous commercial experience in a 3rd Line Support Role
*Great knowledge of VMware
*Great knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server 2016/2019
*Great knowledge of security vulnerabilities and concerns
*Experience in Networking: WAN/LAN & WLAN, as well as concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
*Experience of working in the cloud (Azure or AWS for example)
*Experience in Powershell scripting
*Valid UK Driving license
This 3rd Line Support Opportunity is based in Herefordshire so is commutable from: Hereford, Worcester, Pembridge, Kidderminster, Shropshire, Tenbury Wells, Leominster and the surrounding areas.
