About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client's finance team. If you have experience with accounting software such as Xero and enjoy working on varied tasks within an office environment, this role could be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Performing data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Assisting with month-end reports
  • Reconciling bank statements and financial data
  • Utilising accounting software like Xero
  • Supporting the development of accounting systems
  • Assisting in the internal review of transactions
  • Participating in ad hoc projects
  • Providing administrative support to the finance team

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a financial services environment
  • Proficiency in using Xero or similar accounting software
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in using Excel and Google Sheets
  • Ideally, you should possess 2 years of experience in an accounting/ finance environment
  • Knowledge of Salesforce would be an advantage
