As an Accounts Assistant, you will Work from the Head Office in Worcester, joining an experienced Finance Team, reporting to the Finance Manager. This Accounts Assistant role is varied, involving communication with both customers and internal staff where the ability to work to deadlines and accuracy and attention to detail are of utmost importance.
Accounts Assistant Responsibilities
Processing purchase ledger invoices on Sage.
Monitoring & resolving invoice queries.
Ensuring end of month is closed off in a timely manner.
Accounts payable & statement reconciliation.
Credit checking new customers.
Opening new supplier & customer accounts.
Assist with sales invoices & daily banking.
Bank reconciliations for GBP, Euro, Dollar & call accounts.
Processing international payments.
Processing the weekly payment run.
General office admin duties to include reception cover.
Accounts Assistant Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Working knowledge of Sage & MS Excel.
Hands on approach with a team player & can do attitude.
Self-managing with good attention to detail.
Computer literate to include MS Office & email.
Using database systems (desired).
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
£22,000 - £25,000 annual salary.
Based in Worcester.
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.
