As a Finance Manager/ Bookkeeper you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the organisations operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing budgetary matters, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This position offers flexibility in terms of working hours, allowing for flexible working, or either part-time or full-time engagement.

Duties include...

  • Financial Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g. Xero).
    • Record and reconcile financial transactions, including invoices, expenses, and bank statements.
  • Budget Management:
    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
    • Work closely with department heads to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Generate financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
    • Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.

  • Invoicing and Billing:
    • Process client invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Ensure prompt payment collections and manage accounts receivable.

  • Expense Management:
    • Review and process employee expense reports.
    • Monitor and control company expenses in line with established policies.

  • Audit Preparation:
    • Prepare documentation and assist in the facilitation of financial audits.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.

  • Financial Planning:
    • Contribute to the development of financial plans and strategies to support company growth.
    • Provide financial insights to aid in decision-making and resource allocation.

Skills and Experience include:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Administrator, Finance Manager, or similar role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • AAT Level 3 desirable

Excellent communication, persuasion and negotiation skills in order to work with other team members and clients are crucial to the success of this role. The postholder will be required to develop strong client facing skills, have excellent written, numerical and oral skills and the ability to communicate with people from all levels of the business.
