CNC Machinist (Miller)
Location: Tewkesbury
Salary: £32,000 - 38,000
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

The Company
Our client is a leading precision engineering business supplying high-quality components to the Oil & Gas, Aerospace, and Industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Miller) to join their operations team.

The Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming multi-axis CNC Milling and Mill Turn machines to produce precision components to exact specifications. You'll work as part of a collaborative production team, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
Set, operate, and program CNC Milling and Mill Turn multi-axis machines (3, 4, and 5 Axis)
Produce precision-engineered components to detailed specifications within tight tolerances
Work to agreed production timescales and complete all associated paperwork
Liaise with the Production Supervisor and team members to ensure workflow efficiency
Ensure compliance with all company and customer quality and safety standards
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
Proven experience setting, operating, and programming CNC Milling and multi-axis machinery
Strong understanding of fixtures, tooling, feeds, and speeds for various raw materials
Experience with FANUC, Okuma, ISO, or Mazatrol programming
Knowledge of live tooling and LEAN manufacturing principles
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Confident using manual measuring equipment
Desirable:
Experience with Victor, Hyundai, or Doosan machine tool lathes
Knowledge of CMM inspection and measuring techniques
Advanced CAD/CAM experience (SolidWorks, hyperMILL, Mastercam)
Formal Engineering Qualification (City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent)
Apprentice-trained background
