Events Manager

Venue Events Manager required to join the F&B division of leading Gloucestershire-based events company with frequent travel to London - £35,000-£40,000 + excellent benefits

This leading events company is looking for a Venue Events Manager to join their F&B division, overseeing all operations to ensure excellent delivery of their food and beverage experience at a premium sporting venue in London. The Venue Events Manager will join a close-knit, supportive team in a fast-paced and fun working environment and, working alongside the F&B Operations Manager, will coordinate all logistics from pre- to post-event, ensuring regulations are adhered to and that excellent customer service and client satisfaction are maintained.

This Venue Events Manager will be responsible for overseeing F&B logistics at one the most prestigious sporting venues in London. Duties will include:

  • Managing all F&B projects for the venue, coordinating with internal teams to ensure venue requirements are met
  • Leading, planning and coordinating onsite operations for food and bar setup / breakdown
  • Overseeing front- and back-office operations, resolving any issues to ensure that company standards are maintained
  • Reviewing, implementing and ensuring adherence to policies and processes by event personnel, including compliance with H&S and food safety standards
  • Ensuring budgets are observed and that all event preparation / operations run smoothly
  • Reporting on success of events, identifying areas for improvement to ensure exceptional client service

This Venue Events Manager role requires someone with a minimum of 2 years' experience in operations, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of requests and dealing with last-minute changes. Prior experience in events / hospitality industries is advantageous as the nature of the Venue Events Manager role will require frequent travel between the Gloucester office and London-based venue. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to confidently liaise with internal teams and clients. The role will suit someone who is positive and proactive, with a flexible attitude and ability to think on their feet, use their initiative and keep calm when under pressure. N.B. Full driving licence is required, as is frequent travel between the Gloucester office and London-based venue. Any experience or qualification in H&S or food safety is beneficial but not essential.

£35,000-£40,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits including 28 days' holiday, bonus, 4% pension contribution, weekly lunches and quarterly team events. 40 hours per week (weekdays and weekends as events schedule dictates).
