Job description
The Company
An established manufacturing business operating at international level.
The Role
Based at the UK manufacturing site in Worcester, the Financial Controller / Accountant will assist the Head of Finance exercise financial control over the UK operation and contribute to the production of financial statements and management accounts.
Responsibilities
*Banks & accounts payable - ensure banks are reconciled to SAP, prepare cash forecasts, petty cash control.
*Balance sheets - maintain balance sheet accounts, ensure month end deadlines are met, prepare accruals & prepayments.
*Period end reporting.
*Plant performance - prepare KPI's, provide variance analysis, assist with product costings & ensure adequate controls are in place to monitor plant performance.
*Forecasting.
*HMRC submissions - prepare UK VAT returns, intrastat declarations & sales lists & submit to HMRC.
*Auditing - respond to both internal & external auditor queries.
*Fixed asset register.
Requirements
*Full or part qualified (CIMA / ACCA).
*Previous experience working within manufacturing sector.
*Experience of analysing manufacturing variances.
*Advanced Excel working knowledge.
*Corporation tax, VAT, statutory accounts experience.
*Prove experience within controlling.
*SAP general ledger desirable.
*Must be able to work independently.
