Head of Facilities

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced, strategic, Head of Facilities professional who would thrive on being part of a renowned, prestigious local organisation. With demonstrable knowledge of the full spectrum of facilities management, including contract management, tendering and continuity planning, you will hold a professional qualification and have a full understanding of statutory legislation.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Ensuring the delivery of facilities management, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Leading the development of facilities contracts and contractor management

  • Ensuring all records are created and maintained to demonstrate full operational procedures

  • Schemes

  • Developing,, reviewing and keeping the Business Continuity Plan and arrangement up to date

  • Motivating, developing and leading a team

  • Developing Health & Safety management systems including quality assurance systems and compliance with external audits.

  • Implementing and reviewing the Health & Safety policies and procedures.

  • Liaising closely with stakeholders

The successful candidate will be naturally proactive and lead by example, promoting a positive environment for the team. As a Senior Manager, a strategic as well as day to day approach is essential.

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is

  • A professional qualification in facilities management (e.g. IWFM level 4+ or equivalent) and Health & Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent)

  • Spectator Safety desirable NVQ level 4) (not essential)

  • Demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of current licencing, H&S and disability/access legislation and the ability to apply these pragmatically through appropriate policies and procedures.

  • Desirable for detailed knowledge of government COVID-19 restrictions for the workplace and COVID-19 regulations

  • Experience of negotiating and procuring facilities management service contracts based upon best practice principles, with an understanding and working knowledge of performance measurement techniques.

  • An ability delegate where necessary as well as being proactive and 'hands on'.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively.

  • Proven experience of leading, supporting and mentoring teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Our client is based in Worcester and is offering a salary of £50 - £60k depending on experience.

Flexibility on working hours at certain periods will be needed.
