Health & Social Care Assessor

If you are passionate about supporting others in achieving their career goals and are highly experienced in health and social care, including qualifications and assessments, this could be a fantastic opportunity to join the Qualifications Care team within one of the UK's largest housing, care and commercial services organisations.

Our client is currently seeking a Qualifications Assessor to become an integral part of the Learning and Development team within the wider HR Department. As a Qualifications Assessor, based in Cornwall, you'll be helping the care and support staff achieve their health and social care qualifications, ranging from Level 2 to Level 5.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Supporting a caseload of 40 learners based throughout the central and south of England, assisting them in gathering evidence for their Health and Social Care Diploma Qualifications.
  • Regularly visiting staff to support their progress and offer guidance.
  • Helping learners navigate the electronic portfolio system, ensuring their evidence meets the qualification level criteria.
  • Attending monthly standardisation meetings (via Teams or at the Head Office in Worcester).
  • Engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities to maintain occupational competency in Health and Social Care assessments.

Skills and experience you'll need:

  • Education Training Level 3 or TAQA Levels 3, or D32/33 qualification (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of Level 3 Health and Social Care qualifications.
  • Recent experience in assessing Health and Social Care qualifications.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice principles.
  • Familiarity with qualification quality assurance systems is a plus.
  • Experience in planning your own time and diary - essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • A full, valid driving licence and the ability to travel as required within Oxfordshire and Southern regions
  • Salary: £30,643.00 plus excellent additional benefits
    Hours: 35 hours per week (occasional overnight stays may be required)
