Procurement Coordinator

Procurement Coordinator required to join procurement division of leading manufacturing company - Herefordshire, HR8 - up to £28,000 + generous benefits

This industry leading manufacturing company is looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join their Herefordshire site (c.150 employees) in the procurement division of currently 4 employees, collaborating with the wider team to ensure smooth running of their supply chain. The Procurement Coordinator will need to liaise across departments to understand business needs so that sufficient stock levels are maintained and customer orders are efficiently fulfilled.

The Procurement Coordinator will be site-based to facilitate efficient collaboration within the procurement division and factory teams. Duties will include:

  • Liaising across departments to understand business needs, working to resolve any issues and improve processes
  • Stock control and ordering of raw materials in order to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner
  • Tracking placed orders, preparing reports and managing lead times, delivery dates and costs
  • Raising POs and working with finance team to resolve invoicing queries
  • Overseeing inventories and budget control
  • Forecasting material needs for upcoming projects and maintaining efficient stock control

This Procurement Coordinator role requires someone with a minimum of 18 months' prior coordination / operations experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting. The Procurement Coordinator will need to be confident liaising across teams and collaborating on business project needs in order to ensure that stock levels are maintained, and orders are placed in a timely manner. Must have good communication skills, be proactive and process-driven and be able to plan and think ahead. Solid IT and numerical skills are key and knowledge of SAP is advantageous.

Up to £28,000 depending on experience plus generous benefits including 25 days' holiday, bonus scheme, enhanced pension, income protection plus others. Office based role working 37.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday.
