Project Manager

Location:
Kidderminster
Salary: £29,848 - £43.173
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, Friday 8am to 1pm.

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in complex engineering projects? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading organisation within the manufacturing and engineering sector, managing high-value and technically challenging programmes.

In this role, you will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and delivery of specific projects, ensuring alignment with business strategy, customer commitments, and operational targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver project plans in support of new business bids.
  • Define, generate, and execute project plans for contracted work across development, production, or research.
  • Drive project value and margin by proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide accurate and timely project reporting both internally and to customers.
  • Manage, motivate, and monitor cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers to ensure business requirements are fully understood and delivered.
  • Approve and authorise documentation in line with delegated authority.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent industry related qualification.
  • Strong background in planning, managing, and delivering production, development, or technology projects involving small to medium batch manufacturing of complex products.
  • Solid commercial and financial awareness.
  • Proficient in Project Management software tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven track record of effective risk management.
  • Recognised Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, etc.) desirable.
  • Exposure to projects where scope and requirements evolve desirable.
  • Experience managing projects in an engineering-focused environment desirable.
