Job description
Our client requires an experienced Project Manager to assist the Group IT Director with sprint management, requirements gathering and software testing.
They work in two-week Agile sprint cycles, where requirements are received from internal customers, written into development "stories" and refined by the development team.
The role will involve the following tasks:
- Speaking with internal customer about their requirements
- Writing stores (small specifications) for the development team to work on
- Assisting with the refinement process where the development team explore the requirements in more functional detail and develop and estimate of effort required
- Running the daily Agile stand-up (15 minute) meetings to monitor progress with the development team
- Running twice-weekly Agile refinement meetings to scope out requirements with eh development team
- Running Agile sprint end meetings - retrospective and new sprint planning
- Testing the work produced by the Development team to ensure it meets acceptance criteria, customer requirements and development standards
- Testing the work produced by the Development team to ensure it does not have any adverse impact on related modules, systems, or other related aspects
- Working with the Group IT Director to ensure sprint work matches the strategic requirements of the Business (in terms of deliverable projects)
Knowledge/Experience required:
- At least two years project management experience (PRINCE desirable)
- Experience of working in an Agile Software Development environment
- Wide ranging Business Analysis/process knowledge
- Superb interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to adhere to Agile processes
- Software testing skills an advantage
