Job description

Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Hewett Recruitment is all about people. Our purpose as a business is to make a proactive and positive impact on people - with our mission being to provide the best customer experience. The only way to do this is to have the very best people working for us. It is our outstanding team of Consultants and back-office staff that put people first - delivering recruitment at its best by living and breathing the values of the business:

  • We Act with Integrity

  • We Create Value

  • We Never Stop Learning

  • We Love What We Do

  • We Have Grit

If these values resonate with you and you want to work in a dynamic, forward thinking business offering excellent personal and career progression then why not join us as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant? We are looking for like-minded individuals that love dealing with people and have a natural flair for sales and customer service.

If you are emotionally intelligent and resilient, with an eye for detail and a goal oriented approach to work, then recruitment could be just the career for you. It offers the chance to build relationships with an enormous range of individuals and organisations on a daily basis, becoming truly consultative as you advise, support and challenge your clients and candidates.

Your journey in recruitment begins by focusing on the candidate component - resourcing candidates using various online tools; calling candidates to discuss job opportunities; keeping in touch with our talent pool; meeting candidates, arranging interviews and getting to know your market place; writing job adverts; social media marketing and building your profile as a recruiter. From here you will develop your knowledge of the full recruitment lifecycle, building more client interactions and gaining exposure to every part of a successful recruitment process.

You will progress through Hewett's structured training programme, as well as receiving on-the-job training and the opportunity to obtain your Certificate in Recruitment qualification. Other benefits include:

  • Working with a fun and encouraging team

  • Flexible working arrangements

  • Development - every member of the team gets their own Personal Development Plan

  • Potential for uncapped commission as a Recruitment Consultant

  • Company wide events every quarter and various other ad hoc socials

  • Attending networking events

  • 28 Days Holiday (plus Bank Holidays), rising with service

  • Eyecare

  • Pension

  • Private Health Insurance

  • Healthcare cash plan (covering things like physio, dentistry work, counselling etc.)

  • Access to retail cash back scheme

The salary for this Trainee Recruitment Consultant position starts at £19,000 with regular performance-related reviews and a structured career path with specific targets for promotions. With offices in Kidderminster and Worcester and access to co-working spaces in Gloucester and the option to work from home, you could be based anywhere across the West Midlands and the South West - there is also the possibility for flexibility in working hours. Hewett prides itself on the personal development and training it offers all of its employees as well as the relaxed atmosphere in which the Consultants operate. You can be as autonomous as you like although we do promote a collaborative approach to work, with Consultants sharing their knowledge and celebrating each other's success.
