Emergency Call Handler

Full time Office Working 35 hours per week in Kidderminster

Temporary contract with the potential to move to permanent

Pay rate: £13.02 per hour with weekly pay, uplift for weekend work

Working Hours: A rotating shift pattern.

As an Emergency Call Handler, you will be the first point of contact for clients using the service, handling calls from service users, emergency contracts, and healthcare professionals. If you have the desire and passion to provide excellent customer service, this may be the role for you!

Emergency Call Handler - Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to incoming calls and updating records to support the delivery of call handling services.
  • Managing alerts and directing customers/residents to the appropriate service.
  • Conduct scheduled outbound calls as required to ensure the wellbeing of residents.
  • Prioritise alerts and notifications, providing proactive and reactive support and following appropriate escalation pathways.
  • Delivering effective triage of calls to ensure appropriate support is provided for callers.
  • Having confidentiality of service users records in line with policies and procedures.

Emergency Call Handler - Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to service user/customer needs and communicate in a caring and respectful manner.
  • Good organisational skills and record keeping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and previous experience with in-house systems.
