Job description
A new opportunity for a well-established name in manufacturing, who are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to lead all aspects of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance across their sites in Kidderminster. This is a vital role reporting to the Operations Manager, where you'll drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensure legal compliance, and champion the wellbeing of all staff.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead point of contact for all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters across the group.
- Review, update, and embed the company's Health and Safety policies and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with current EHS and Quality legislation and proactively plan for upcoming changes.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure best practices are followed.
- Maintain and work towards ISO accreditations and support third-party audits.
- Lead internal H&S forums and deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Support incident and accident investigations, implementing preventative measures.
- Play a key role in new starter inductions and training, promoting a strong safety culture from day one.
- Manage occupational health arrangements and support the business's Mental Health and Wellbeing strategy.
- Oversee supplier safety performance and ensure contractor compliance.
- Provide temporary cover for Facilities Advisor duties, including COSHH assessments and emergency preparedness.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH qualified and IOSH certified.
- A strong understanding of UK Health & Safety law and ISO standards.
- Experience in a manufacturing, operations, or facilities setting.
- Exceptional communication and coaching skills to engage staff at all levels.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and IT skills (MS Office).
- Able to influence, lead and promote continuous improvement across teams.
- Experience supporting MHFA or mental wellbeing programmes (desirable).
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours.
Based in Kidderminster (site based).
£28,500 annual salary.
