If you are highly organised, detail-oriented, and ready to take on a fast-paced logistics role you would be joining a fantastic organisation who thrives on supporting its teams and individuals.

As Imports Coordinator, you will take responsibility for managing all aspects of UK and EU imports and you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth arrival and clearance of products through UK and EU ports. From data entry and document handling to working with suppliers and coldstores, this is a hands-on role that keeps the supply chain running efficiently.

Your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Updating purchase and sales orders on the in-house system
  • Checking and processing import documents to meet port arrival deadlines
  • Handling port and duty clearance entries to ensure timely delivery and avoid demurrage costs
  • Communicating goods-in instructions to coldstores ahead of deliveries
  • Verifying receipts into coldstore and arranging bond clearances
  • Liaising daily with forwarding agents, suppliers, and coldstores
  • Completing weekly stock reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies
  • General administrative and filing duties

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
  • A decisive, problem-solving mindset
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • A flexible approach to prioritising workload
  • Good computer literacy
  • Experience in supply chain or logistics (desirable, not essential)

Our client is looking for someone with a proactive attitude and excellent organisational skills. Ideally, you'll have previous experience in an import/export or logistics environment, but if you can demonstrate other key attributes and the ability to work under pressure, this would be advantageous.
