Junior Buyer - Career Building Opportunity in Global Manufacturing
Location: Kidderminster
Salary: Up to £25,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:45pm, Friday 8am to 12:30pm

Are you ready to start your career in procurement with a role that's all about progression, development, and making an impact?

An industry leading manufacturer in the automotive industry is looking for a Junior Buyer to join a friendly, close-knit procurement team. This opening has arisen due to internal promotion - a clear sign of the development opportunities within the business.

This is your chance to begin in a hands-on, supportive environment, working from a busy office in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where you will gain the skills and experience needed to evolve into a senior purchasing professional - with structured support every step of the way.

The intention would be to enrol the successful candidate into college in 2026 to study for the professional CIPS qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Procurement Specialist with day-to-day purchasing operations.
  • Processing orders and tracking deliveries using LN software.
  • Communicating with suppliers to resolve product, quality, and service queries.
  • Maintaining accurate supplier records and supporting onboarding processes.
  • Assisting with audits and maintaining ISO 9001 compliance documentation.
  • Compiling cost and spend data for strategic procurement decisions.

What You'll Bring:

  • Ideally around 2 years of office based experience - admin support or procurement related.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills (particularly Excel & Word).
  • A meticulous eye for detail and top-notch organisational skills.
  • Confident communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A calm, solutions-focused attitude under pressure.
  • A genuine eagerness to learn and grow.

This is more than just a job - it's a launchpad for a long-term career in procurement. Whether you're a recent graduate, a school leaver with office skills, or someone looking to break into a supply chain role, this is a rare opportunity to be nurtured and challenged in equal measure.
