Obsolescence Engineer
Worcester
Up to £45,000 - Dependant on experience
My client is a well-established engineering company that designs, manufactures and supplies a range of bespoke machinery. As an Obsolescence Engineer, your role will work within the existing Engineering Team and along side the Supply Chain to maintain BOMs and review materials & products.
Obsolescence Engineer Responsibilities;
- Assess historical BOM's for product viability
- Capture and report on all issues of product obsolescence
- Liaise with the OEM and Supply Chain to identify alternative solutions.
- Maintain all live BOM's within the ERP system
- Support the test and validation of all alternative / new products
Obsolescence Engineer Experience;
- Degree, HNC, HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in engineering would be beneficial
- Must be skilled in preparing technical reports and presentations
- Experience of using engineering documentation such as technical drawings and records
- Excellent communication skills are essential
- Must be a team player
