Job: Payoll Assistant

Location: Worcester

Hours: 3 days per week - Home working if wanted after training

Salary: upto £35,000 (full time equivelant)

Job type: Maternity cover - 12 months, vierw to going permanent

We are looking for an experienced payroll assistant to work for our client based in Worcester.


  • Assisting in the completion of weekly and monthly payrolls mainly using Sage Payroll
  • Starters, leavers, SMP, SPP, SSP, CIS and PAYE reconciliations
  • Preparation of year end payroll returns
  • Helping clients deal with the auto enrolment pension process
  • Providing support to our accounts and tax teams in payroll matters
  • Dealing with HMRC regarding our clients' PAYE and NIC compliance

About you:

  • You will have experience in dealing with payroll and working in an office environment
  • You will have at least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above
  • You will have excellent attention to detail.
  • You will live in Worcestershire
  • You will be good at both working as part of a team and on your own
  • Good written and verbal communication skills expected
  • Strong communication and organisational skills expected
  • Excellent time management
  • Can work well under pressure, hit deadlines and respond promptly to requests
