Production Engineer - Paint

Location: Malvern, Worcestershire
Hours: Full-time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

The Company

Our client is a well-established manufacturer based in Worcestershire, known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and precision. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Production Engineer - Paint to join their busy production team.

The Role

This is a hands-on role within the paint facility, responsible for preparing, finishing, and inspecting components to ensure they meet exacting quality standards. Working as part of a close-knit production team, you'll support day-to-day paint operations, maintain equipment, and contribute to ongoing improvements in process efficiency and finish quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finish components to a high standard, including surface preparation and priming

  • Mix and apply paints or coatings to achieve consistent finishes

  • Inspect work for quality, identifying and correcting defects where necessary

  • Maintain paint equipment and ensure it remains in safe working order

  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including PPE use and safe handling of materials

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure production targets are met

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the paint process

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a paint, coatings, or surface finishing role within a production environment

  • Ability to work accurately and maintain high standards of quality

  • Knowledge of surface preparation, mixing, and application techniques

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Commitment to safe working practices

Desirable:

  • Relevant training or qualifications in paint or coating technologies

  • Experience using paint spraying or finishing equipment

  • Understanding of quality assurance and inspection processes
